Books and Condition

Do you sell new or second-hand books?

BookBuddies sells a mixture of new and second-hand books. The condition is stated on each individual product page so you can see what type of copy you are purchasing.

How do you describe the condition of second-hand books?

Every second-hand book is checked individually before listing. Conditions may include like new, very good, good, acceptable or vintage, and any significant wear or faults will be included in the product description. You can also read our complete second-hand book condition guide.

Why is there sometimes only one copy available?

Many of our second-hand books are individual copies, so stock is often limited to one. Once that copy has sold, the listing may be removed. If another copy becomes available later, it will be checked, photographed and listed separately according to its own condition.

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from BookBuddies in Corby, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.

How much does delivery cost?

Available delivery options and charges are shown at checkout before payment. The cost may vary depending on the order and delivery destination.

How will my books be packaged?

Every order is packed carefully to help protect the books while they are in transit. Where an individual book needs extra protection because of its age, format or condition, this is taken into account when packing the order.

Returns and Order Problems

Can I return a book?

Returns are handled in accordance with the BookBuddies Refund Policy. Please read the policy before returning an item and contact BookBuddies if you need help with your order.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Please get in touch as soon as possible with your order details and photographs showing the problem. This will make it easier to understand what has happened and find the appropriate solution.

Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?

Contact BookBuddies as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has been packed or dispatched, but I will help wherever reasonably possible.

How can I find a particular book?

Use the search icon at the top of the website to search by title, author or ISBN. You can also browse the fiction and non-fiction collections by subject or genre.

How can I see the newest additions?

Visit Latest Finds to see recently added books and bookish products. Because many second-hand titles are single copies, availability can change quickly.

Do you sell bookish gifts as well as books?

Yes. The Bookish Gifts collection is growing to include items such as bookmarks, mugs, book bags and cosy reading accessories alongside the book collection.
